We’re all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge.

Pack 215 is located in the Coastal District of the Cape Fear Council of the Scouting America organization. We are a family pack with boys and girls following the Cub Scout program.
We are chartered by St Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington, North Carolina.
We meet during the school year on Mondays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the parish hall of the church during the school year.
We meet for outings approximately once per month throughout the entire year (school year and the summer).
The youth of the Pack are organized into grade-level “dens” that work through the den’s rank requirements together throughout the Scouting year under the guidance of a Den Leader and possibly an Assistant Den Leader and/or a Den Chief.
All of the dens together (kindergarten through 5th grade) make up the Pack.
The Cub Scout program is designed to be family oriented with parent involvement lessening during the Webelos and Arrow of Light years (4th and 5th grades) and into the later Scouting years.
Parent involvement within the Cub Scout program can include leading a meeting, helping with activities for the Den or Pack, coordinating our service projects, serving on a planning committee, collecting donations for events, providing a snack/food item for a trip, staffing product sales tables, etc.
Pack parents are expected to be active within the Pack and attend all Den and Pack meetings and activities. Pack parents agree to keep up-to-date with Pack dues and to complete an annual medical form for every member of the family that will be attending outings with the Pack.
The adults involved in the Pack consist of the:
Chartered Organization Representative
Pack Committee members
Non-uniformed Parent volunteers
There are several adult positions within the Pack supporting the Scouts along their journey, either directly or in-directly. Pack 215 does not currently have someone in each of these positions but is looking to fill open positions. Many hands make light work.
Each position has “position-specific training” designed by National that can be completed online or in a classroom setting at a local training opportunity. All adult leaders must have their SAFE Guarding Youth Training completed before their adult application can be submitted to Council for registration and their church Safe Environment Training and Scouting America position-specific training completed within 3 months of taking on the position.
Pack Committee responsibilities:
Functions as the Board of Directors for the Pack, overseeing the adult leadership
Functions as an administration and support organization for the Pack
securing meeting facilities and outings
maintaining advancement and training records
Takes care of a variety of non-program issues surrounding the Pack
accounting for Pack funds
coordinating membership drives
